Fiber 500, Fiber 1 Gig, and Fiber 2 Gig come with a free Amazon eero Pro 6E router. Data protection

Protect your household from online threats with Frontier Secure. Frontier’s HomeShield Elite bundle ($10 per month) includes a password manager, identity protection, and antivirus tools. You can also get additional ad blocking and security features with eero Secure ($3 monthly). It’s a little bit more cash, but it might be worth the peace of mind.

See what the CableTV.com editors think of Frontier internet

After comparing Frontier internet to its direct competitors, we think Frontier fiber and gig internet plans are well worth the money. We also like that you get a $10 per month discount if you bundle Frontier internet with YouTube TV. Basically, you get super-fast internet with the best live TV streaming experience available.

Now for the cons of Frontier internet. If you can’t get Frontier fiber internet, we say don’t even bother with its slower, older brother, Frontier DSL internet. In general, and with Frontier in particular, DSL internet is terrible for streaming and working from home.

Likewise, Frontier customers told us that they weren’t super impressed in our annual Internet Customer Satisfaction Survey, ranking the ISP 16 out of 25 larger regional internet providers. This is likely due to Frontier’s legacy of problems with its old-school DSL network. (Consider yourself warned about Frontier DSL internet.)

  • Fiber plans that give you bang for your buck

Cons

  • Limited fiber internet availability
  • Mediocre customer satisfaction

What Frontier internet customers are saying

The only thing I did not like was when they would increase the monthly charge without notice then were charging me $3 to send a paper bill. I now pay it through my bank's bill pay service online after receiving an email bill each month from Frontier. Works out well.

Frontier customer in Florida

We have had no issues at all with Frontier. Before Frontier, our internet was constantly going out. I would call customer service and [it would] take days for them to come fix [it].

Frontier customer in West Virginia

I don't feel like they have the best customer service, and not only that, but sometimes the service randomly cuts off.

Frontier customer in Connecticut

They are reliable. [But] then again, Frontier takes awhile to come out and fix your internet.
