OMG, TV fans! The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards airs live on Sunday, September 14 on CBS at 8 p.m. Eastern. But that’s only the awards show. If you wanna watch the Primetime Emmys red carpet action, you’ll have to tune in to CBS an hour earlier at 7 p.m. Eastern. So note the times above and ensure your TV provider or live TV streaming service carries CBS (if you get local channels, it probably does) so you don’t miss the fabulous fashion and candid interviews.

How to watch CBS’s Primetime Emmys red carpet in 2025
CBS’s red carpet pre-show begins at 7 p.m. ET. All you have to do is tune into the Primetime Emmys an hour early and you’ll be set!
Most traditional (cable and satellite) TV providers and live TV streaming services carry CBS. We recommend DISH Network and Verizon Fios, among traditional TV providers. We like YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV for live TV streaming.
And of course, our favorite recommendation: Just get an OTA (over-the-air) antenna. It carries all your local channels, no subscription needed!

How to watch the Primetime Emmys red carpet free in 2025
If you can’t afford to sign up for TV service right now, you can watch the Emmys red carpet free by exploiting the free trials offered by some live TV streaming services. Just sign up for the trial, then cancel before the trial period ends and you incur charges.
The standard length of a streaming service trial is seven days, but some services have shorter—or considerably longer—ones. These live TV streaming services all have E! (and CBS) and offer free trials.
