Kim Zolciak appeared on Sunday night’s “Watch What Happens Live,” where she was expected to deliver some exciting news. Sadly, she never addressed either returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” on which she starred during the series’ first five seasons, or an upcoming third season for her spin off series, “Don’t Be Tardy.”
This fans even more confusion about her future with the network.
Will she return to “Real Housewives of Atlanta?” Will her spin off return? Or is Zolciak ready to get back to her life away from the cameras with Kroy and their six kids?
Although it is unclear at this point what Zolciak will do, it seems likely that she will continue on with her spin off series, as opposed to returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
During the filming of season five, Zolciak quit the series, deciding that the show and all the drama involved was too much for her pregnancy. At the time, Zolciak was pregnant with her second child with husband, Kroy Bierman, and dealing with the stress from the other ladies was a risk she didn’t want to take. So, because Zolciak already left the series because of the stress it caused in her life, why would she go down that route again, this time with three more kids on her hands?
If Zolciak were to rejoin the ladies, she would again be put into stressful situations and confrontations with the women — mainly Kandi Burruss, who recently sued her over unpaid compensation for her single, “Don’t Be Tardy.” If Zolciak and Burruss were forced to interact, which they would be, the stress would be a lot for Zolciak, and with all them kids, she can’t afford to be mentally drained and exhausted.
With her own show, things would be different. Sure, the everyday stresses of life remain, such as the juggling of her career with her kids, and her marriage, but that’s happening regardless of the cameras. And with filming on her terms and on her turf, Zolciak would have the freedom to go about her life as normal.
At this point, it seems to be in Kim Zolciak’s best interest to stick with her spin off. As a parent of six, she has a lot of responsibility on her hands and she needs to be completely available, both physically and emotionally for all that parenting entails.
