Scheana Marie and her longtime boyfriend, Mike Shay, tied the knot over the weekend.
On Sunday, these “Vanderpump Rules” made their love official during a ceremony at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, Calif. surrounded by friends, family, and several of their fellow reality stars.
On Saturday evening, the couple, who became engaged in January, attended their rehearsal dinner, along with their co-stars, including Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz. And Marie tweeted of her excitement for the following day.
“Omg!!!! @MikeShayMusic 0 days 21 hours 54 mins! U still down to do this?!” Marie wrote. In response, Shay said, “So excited to marry my best friend tmrw! I love you sooo much sweetheart!”
According to a July 27 report by Us Weekly, Marie and Shay’s guests included former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Gretchen Rossi and her fiancé, Slade Smiley, “Shahs Of Sunset” stars Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi and Leila Gharache, Rachel and Brenden Villegas of “Big Brother,” and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Vanderpump, as well as her former co-star, Joyce Giraud.
After announcing her engagement to fans, Marie spoke to Celebeat, revealing several details about what her guests could expect from her big day.
“I’ve always wanted a sunset wedding so that’s what we are doing overlooking the mountains. All of my flowers will be pink, of course, with gold and champagne accents,” she said, also adding that her food choice would be unique. “I want a Mexican buffet style dinner, not a normal boring traditional steak or fish choice for my guests.”
Included in the wedding festivities were Marie’s “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars, Pandora Vanderpump and Ariana Madix, who served as bridesmaids and Taylor, who designed the groomsmen’s shoes.
During “Vanderpump Rules” season two, fans watched as Stassi Schroeder played a part in Marie and Shay’s engagement and was ultimately asked to be a bridesmaid, but unfortunately, their friendship took a turn for the worst as the season progressed and Schroeder’s bridesmaid role was no longer an option. Still, reports claim Schroeder was invited to the wedding.
There has been no official announcement if the event will air on the series, but several sources hint it will be.
“Everyone shared my special moment with me getting engaged to [Shay], so I would love to share the whole experience with everyone as well,” Marie told Celebeat.
In May 2014, a source spoke to Radar Online, claiming the wedding would be seen on “Vanderpump Rules” season three.
“Her wedding will play a big storyline this season,” the insider said. “The timing couldn’t be more perfect. We’ll get to see all the craziness leading up to the big day.”
Season three of “Vanderpump Rules” airs on Bravo this fall.
