A second season of “Southern Charm” may be in jeopardy, following Thomas Ravenel taking to Twitter to announce he isn’t returning for a second season.
“If there is a Season 2 of ["Southern Charm"], I will not be a participant,” he wrote, adding, “I do wish the show the best though.”
Throughout season one, Ravenel’s past was a hot topic, as was his relationship with socialite Kathryn Dennis.
As Ravenel attempted to bounce back following a federal drug distribution charge, which rocked his career and family name, the 51-year-old former Treasurer of South Carolina met Dennis, who is 29 years his junior, and the two began a relationship. Although the pair ended up splitting during the season one finale episode, it was revealed at the reunion that they had gotten back together — and a had a baby girl, whom they named Kenzie.
Although Dennis has yet to speak out about her own participation in the show, one would assume she would also being calling it quits, as well.
As for the rest of the cast, they all seem to be keeping in touch — and re-tweeting fan messages about the show as much as possible.
Days after Ravenel’s tweet was posted, Jenna King re-tweeted a message from a fan, which read, “I am going through Southern Charm withdrawal. Miss you!!” Cameran Eubanks has also re-tweeted several mentions from fans in regard to the show.
Prior to Ravenel’s announcement, several members of the cast reunited for a night out in New York City, and during the outting, Craig Conover tweeted, “Partying w/ the rest of the #SouthernCharm cast at Tao Downtown Lounge right now in NYC…thanks to @RichDThomas for taking care of us.”
A short time later, Conover and co-star Shep Rose went on a double date.
On June 4, Reality Tea offered a helpful recap of what the cast has been up to since filming wrapped on “Southern Charm” season one.
According to the site, Conover graduated from law school last month and Eubanks was recently married. Meanwhile, King reportedly moved to Los Angeles, where she is happily involved in a relationship with Ronnie Radke, lead vocalist of Falling in Reverse, and Rose has opened a new hot dog establishment.
