“Millionaire Matchmaker” Patti Stanger Shares Details About Her Bravo Family with CableTV

The “Millionaire Matchmaker,” Patti Stanger, is the star of one of Bravo’s longest-running series and, as the show continues to air, she and the franchise continue to become more and more popular.

“Everybody recognizes me on the street, they bang on my bathroom door when I’m in a restaurant and ask them to fix them up,” Stanger revealed to CableTV while on the red carpet at NBC Upfronts. “Yesterday was the saddest. The girl’s best friend was dying and her dream was to talk to me so I called from the restaurant. You get stuff like that and you cannot not do it. It’s just bad karma.”

Since joining the show in 2008, Stanger’s network of friends has grown substantially. Although she is somewhat solo on her show, in comparison to the “Real Housewives” and other shows, Stanger has gotten to know many of her network mates and formed real friendships (which you can see by checking out her photo stream).

“I have a big family at Bravo,” Stanger said. “We are all friends. We all talk. It’s a wonderful place to work; it really is.”

In the next several months, Stanger will begin filming the eighth installment of her series and, although she couldn’t reveal too much, she did say fans will be seeing some familiar faces this season.

“Next season we are breaking format we are doing something radically different,” Stanger said. “We are looking for celebrities to fix up their friends, family, assistants, bosses, whatever. We will be letting a lot of celebrities come on as well as fix ups. I love scripted people, my dream would be Sandra Bullock, but they can be from any network as long as there’s no problems with the affiliation process.”

Stanger also revealed she would love to have some of her fellow Bravolebrities on the series.

“I thought about Kenya Moore, I thought about Porsha Stewart. Can I put them on the same show?” Stanger asked of the feuding “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars, who were involved in a physical altercation during their recent finale. “Brandi [Glanville] I’ve wanted … I’ve wanted Kyle [Richards] to fix up Kim [Richards], Mr. Jax Taylor … a lot of people have called me.”
