Lisa Rinna is reportedly in talks of join the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Last week, a source told Radar Online that Rinna, a former soap star, was filming scenes for the upcoming fifth season of the Bravo series during Kyle Richards’ annual white party. The source also claimed Rinna quickly got on the bad side of Brandi Glanville.
“Lisa had a very good time at [the party] and thinks being a part of the show could be really fun,” the source explained.
“It appears that Lisa is getting along with many of the ladies, with the exception of Brandi and Yolanda Foster,” the source said. “Brandi’s problem with Lisa is that she is happily married, and has two beautiful daughters. According to Brandi, Lisa has the perfect life, and she is very jealous of that.”
After the report was published, Glanville took to Twitter where she denied any feud between her and Rinna. “I’ve met [Lisa Rinna] several times & she was lovely,” Glanville wrote. ”I would never be anything but happy for people with great families! #fact.”
This is not the first time Rinna has been linked to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” In March 2013, Radar Online claimed producers were hoping to bring Rinna aboard in an effort to “stir up s**t, especially with Brandi.”
That same month, Rinna appeared on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” where she discussed the possibility of joining the series. “It’s interesting because I know them all.” she said at the time. “I would probably get into it with Brandi, I would say. She’s the one where – when I watch it – little hairs on my neck go up.”
Two months later, Rinna spoke of the show again, telling E! News, “Basically that was never gonna happen. It was interesting to watch [it] happen without my knowledge.” She also hinted to E! That her husband, Harry Hamlin, may have been the one who didn’t want her to appear.
In a separate report by Radar Online in April 2013, a source claimed Rinna was actually in talks to join the show when it first launched in 2010, but ultimately decided to pursue her own series on TV Land, “Harry Loves Lisa,” which was canceled after one season.
Following “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season four, cast members Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia were reportedly let go and have since been replaced, allegedly, by Camille Grammer and Adrienne Maloof, although a source previously told CableTV a different story.
“Producers of RHOBH are hot to sign her for the upcoming season. The show struggled last season in the ratings, and they would love to have someone of Lisa’s celebrity background on the show!” Radar’s source added. “Lisa Rinna will add much needed drama to the show, because it had suffered a significant ratings decline last season. Having the cat fights and screaming matches is what the show needed for it to be a success!”
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” returns to Bravo this fall.
