Discover What Your Favorite Celebrities Are Doing to Celebrate the Holiday Season

Celebrity Holidays

Jennifer Aniston’s tree trimming party is one of the most talked about celebrity holiday traditions. The “Friends” icon hosts the party each year and it is always a star-studded event. This year’s guests included Chelsea Handler, Will Arnett, Courtney Cox, Robert Downey, Jr. and Tobey Maguire. Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin also attended the party, which created quite a buzz, as she and Aniston, both ex’s of Brad Pitt, were not known to be friends.

But the former Rachel Green isn’t the only celebrity getting into the holiday spirit, of course. Here’s how some other celebrities are celebrating.

They’re finding the perfect tree.

“How I Met Your Mother’s” Alyson Hannigan and husband Alexis Denisof took daughters Satyana, 4, and Keeva, 1.5, out to pick a live tree. Hannigan recently shared that Satyana is a bit of a perfectionist, so this endeavor likely took a good deal of time!

Cobie Sulders, also of “How I Met Your Mother,” tweeted, “Turns out it does snow in California!”with a photo of her “backyard sledding-hill.”

They’re lacing up the skates.

Dean McDermott (“Tori & Dean: Inn Love”) took his children to see “Disney on Ice.” An adorable Instagram photo shows him holding his two youngest, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 1, on the ice.

They’re getting crafty.

Tori Spelling showed off a slew of adorable craft ideas to do with kids at PopSugar. “Punky Brewster’s” Soleil Moon Frye also lists crafts on her blo and in a special holiday edition of “People.” From candy cane reindeer to DIY snow globes, these two have you covered if you want to break out the craft kid with the kiddos.

They’re showing their generousity.

“Today” host Matt Lauer footed the bill for the show’s holiday party, which included 500 cast and crew members. Even with an open bar, Matt should have plenty of $25 million salary left for 2014!

They’re creating new traditions.

Rebecca Romijn of Adult Swim’s “NTSF:SD:SUV” and husband Jerry O’Connell (“We Are Men”) are getting ready for a big birthday party. Their twin daughters Dolly and Charlie will turn five on Dec. 28 and their parents are throwing them their first birthday party.

They’re visiting Santa.

Melissa Joan Hart (“Melissa and Joey”) shared a pic of her three boys on Santa’s lap. “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards also snagged a shot of her daughter with Santa, though she said little Portia knew he wasn’t the real big guy in red.

Trees, sledding, Santa, family time — it looks like many celebrity holiday traditions aren’t that different from what the rest of us do! What is your favorite holiday activity?
