Brandi Glanville made a name for herself when she appeared on the second season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend of Adrienne Maloof. Although “friends” often come and go on the franchise, Brandi’s honest attitude was interesting to fans.
On the first few episodes of season two, Brandi caused all sorts of drama when she accused Kim Richards of doing drugs in a friend’s bathroom and then claimed her sister, Kyle Richards, was a bully. Although many were taken aback by her comments, the majority of fans appreciated her “real”-ness and ahead of season three, she was upgraded to “official housewife” on the series.
Once she was a main cast member, fans began seeing much more of Brandi, and although that was all fine and dandy at first, things took a dark turn during the currently airing fourth season.
Not only has Brandi been drinking a bit more during season four, she’s also been much more shocking in her comments and while that may have been what put her on the map years ago, it is now costing her money.
After telling her co-star Joyce Giraud that she was a “black person” because she could not swim during a trip to Palm Springs, which later aired on the show, Brandi was labeled a racist, and from there, her business began to suffer.
On December 14, just days after the Palm Springs episode aired on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi was dropped from an appearance at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tampa, Florida.
“As a company who prides itself on its core values of ‘Love All, Serve All,’ SHRHC has decided to proceed with the planned party without Ms. Glanville’s appearance due to recent developments that include remarks towards African Americans made by Ms. Glanville on her hit Bravo TV show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” President John Fontana said in a statement. “Until this situation is behind her, our organization feels it’s best to reinforce our culture and values at this time, which consist of love and respect for all.”
Although no other companies or venues have spoken out against Brandi since the episode aired, Brandi recently took to Facebook where `wp_posts`.siteID = 23880 AND she revealed that because of Joyce’s claims that her comment was racist, her career is suffering.
“Joyce’s ongoing comments, accusations and labels have endangered my family and cost me jobs, and opportunities,” Brandi told fans. “As a single mother, supporting my two little boys and running a household by myself I hope Joyce feels really really good about what she is doing to my family as she sits atop her mansion with her giant diamond ring and zero worries.”
From the sound of things, Brandi is getting a little too “real” on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and if she doesn’t tune it down soon, she could be at risk of losing not only money, but also her job with Bravo. After all, her shocking antics and racially-charged comments aren’t exactly good for business.
